Marie Matthews is a watercolor artist in Atlanta, Georgia. Since she began exhibiting her work in 2005, Marie has rapidly emerged as one of the premier watercolorists in Georgia. She achieved signature membership in the Georgia Watercolor Society in the minimum amount of time possible, and she has won awards in the majority of juried shows she has entered.

She and her husband, a native of North Georgia, decided to relocate to Georgia and she bought a camera to record the people and places of her childhood before leaving family and friends on the West Coast.

By multiple firing, and layering of slips and glazes, he tries to make objects that have stratified active surfaces, that snap and crackle with energy.
